MACHU PICCHU ONLY
This Machu Picchu entrance ticket is the classic & original ticket which let visitors access the whole citadel using the circuit 1,2,3 or 4.
The Machu Picchu only tickets are available in hourly slots from 6am to 2pm.
MACHU PICCHU + HUAYNA PICCHU OR MOUNTAIN
In case you plan on climbing the Huayna Picchu or the Mountain, you need to buy the morning Machu Picchu tickets which include the Citadel Circuit 4 + Huayna Picchu or the Citadel Circuit 3 + Mountain Hike.
The visits to climb the Huayna Picchu are split in 4 groups and the Mountain are split in 2 groups:
MACHU PICCHU + HUCHUY PICCHU
This short hike takes place on the Huayna Picchu small mountain sister (mountain located on the left side of the Huayna Picchu) and include access to the Citadel using the circuit 4.
The Machu Picchu + Huchuy Picchu tickets are available in hourly slots from 6am to 12pm.
MACHU PICCHU + INCA BRIDGE
This new type of Machu Picchu ticket include the access to the Citadel using the circuit 1 or 2 and the access to the Inka Bridge area.
The Machu Picchu + Inka Bridge tickets are available in hourly slots from 6am to 2pm.
In order to control the flow of visitors, the Peruvian Government has set up different circuits of visit within the Citadel. Depending on the Type of ticket purchased, visitors will be able to visit the Citadel of Machu Picchu using the Circuit 1, Circuit 2, Circuit 3 or Circuit 4.
All circuits let visitors access to the main ruins of Machu Picchu. However, some circuits such as the Circuit 1 and 2 are more extended and let visitors go to the highest part of the Citadel.
Which circuits let visitors take the classic/iconic postcard photo?
The Circuit 1 and Circuit 2 – included in the Machu Picchu only ticket and the Machu Picchu + Inka Bridge ticket – let visitors go to the highest part of Machu Picchu from where the classic photos are typically taken.
However, visitors using the Circuit 3 and Circuit 4 will find picturesque spots to take fantastic photos. The Circuit 4 is included with the Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu ticket and Machu Picchu + Huchuy Picchu ticket. The Circuit 3 is included with the Machu Picchu + Mountain ticket.
In order to protect Machu Picchu monument and for safety reasons, the Peruvian Government has limited the daily access of tourists who want to visit the Citadel, Huayna Picchu, the Mountain, Huchuy Picchu and Inka Bridge:
