Discover the second deepest canyon in the world and see huge condors in the heart of the Andes with this 2 day Colca Canyon tour.

This 2 day tour is perfect for those visitors who want to immerse themselves into an Andes experience and explore more deeply the Colca Canyon to enjoy its landscapes and discover its wildlife.

The first day you will travel from Arequipa to Chivay in order to visit the Chahani volcano area.
The second day you will visit deeply the Colca Canion where you will be able to see the condors from the Cruz del condor mirador.

Itinerary

On this first day you will leave Arequipa from 8AM towards Pampa Cañahuas crossing the Chachani volcano area and stopping on the way at Patahuasi where you can take a Coca tea.
In Pampa Cañahuas you will be able to see lamas, alpacas and vicuñas in their natural environment.
Then you will take a lunch in Chivay at a local restaurant.
Later in the afternoon you will go to the hot springs (entrance to be paid on the spot).
In the evening you will be able to enjoy a dinner with local live show.

Day 2: Chivay – Cruz del Condor – Arequipa

On this second day you will wake up early in the morning and after a breakfast at around 6am you will go to the Cruz del Condor mirador.
On this viewpoint you will see the majestic Condor in flight and the amazing Colca Canyon landscapes. You will stay in this place around 1 hour to enjoy as much as possible the experience.
Then you will walk around 1 hour towards the Cruz del Cura which is another viewpoint.
You will also visit the small villages of Pinchollo Yanque and Maca where you will be able to see hanging tombs, Pre-Inca terrazas and churches.
At the end of this visit you will go back to Chivay to take your Lunch and start the return to Arequipa City.

The departure time will be at around 8:00am. The pick up at your hotel will between 7:00am and 8:00am. You will receive a confirmation email to confirm the tour and times.

After the tour you will be dropped off at your hotel in Central Arequipa. You can ask to your guide at the end of the tour where you want to be dropped off within Central Arequipa if you do not want to be dropped at your hotel. The guide will tell you if it possible or not the new drop off place.
Drop off at the airport or any place outside Arequipa downtown is not included.

This tour takes place in sunny or rainy / cold or warm weather. We suggest to visitors to check weather conditions on the month or day they book their activity

The hot water spring bath is not included and it is optional. This can be paid on the spot directly. The cost is 15-20 Soles per visitor.
