Machu Picchu is one of the new 7 wonders of the world protected by the Unesco. This inca site has seen its number of visitors increased so it is recommended to book tickets enough in advance.
The official Machu Picchu Citadel + Huayna Picchu ticket will let you visit the citadel for around 4 hours but also hike the Huayna Picchu in order to visit the moon temple and enjoy the panoramic view from the top. The Huayna Picchu hike (up and down) takes around 1.5 to 2 hours on average.
The numbers of visitors who can hike the Huayna Picchu is limited. The spot are divided in 3 groups of 100 each.
In order to book your Machu Picchu Citadel + Huayna Picchu Official Ticket select the desired visit date and time of entry to the citadel:
Visitors selecting 6am will access Machu Picchu at 6am and hike the Huayna Picchu on the Group 1 (hike 7-8am)
Visitors selecting 7am will access Machu Picchu at 7am and hike the Huayna Picchu on the Group 1 (hike 7-8am)
Visitors selecting 8am will access Machu Picchu at 8am and hike the Huayna Picchu on the Group 2 (hike 10-11am)
