Machu Picchu is one of the new 7 wonders of the world protected by the Unesco. This inca site has seen its number of visitors increased so it is recommended to book tickets enough in advance.

The official Machu Picchu Citadel + Machu Picchu Mountain ticket will let you visit the citadel for around 4 hours but also hike the Machu Picchu Mountain in order to enjoy the panoramic view from the top and admire the Andes chain. The Mountain hike (up and down) takes around 2 to 3 hours on average.

The numbers of visitors who can hike the Mountain is limited to 800 visitors per day. The spot are divided in 2 groups of 400 each.

The Group 1 can enter to the Citadel of Machu Picchu at 6am or 7am and start hiking the mountain between 7am and 8am
The Group 2 can enter to the Citadel of Machu Picchu at 8am and start hiking the mountain between 9am and 10am.
