Visit the mythical citadel of Machu Picchu, hike the colorful rainbow mountain and explore the Abode of The Gods with this 4 day package.
With this package you will visit three important sites and you will return to Cusco every day to spend the night at your hotel or accommodation that you have booked previously.
This package will include a pick up from the airport and a visit to the Abode of Gods on day 1 on ATV quad bike. The Abode of the Gods, also know as Apukunaq Tianan, comes from a cusquenian’s attempt to portray mythological Incan gods as stone sculptures. The Abode home of the gods shows a group of sculptures of Pachamama, water, cosmos, deities, runa (mankind), among others.
On day 2 you will travel to Ollantaytambo to take the train to Aguas Calientes. There you will meet your guide and you will visit the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. You will enjoy a two hour guided visit and then you will be able to visit Machu Picchu on your own to take amazing pictures.
On the third day you will make a trek to discover the Vinicunca mountain, also known as the rainbow mountain.
On the last day, on day 4 day, you will be drive to the airport or bus station.
This 4 day package with three important site visits is perfect for those visitors who stay for a short period in Cusco and want to explore the mythical Machu Picchu, hike the popular rainbow mountain and drive ATV quad bikes within the Andes to explore the new attraction of the Abode of the Gods.
Itinerary
Day 1: Airport – Cusco – Above of the Gods
Day 2: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu
Day 3: Cusco – Cusipata – Rainbow Mountain
Day 4: Cusco – Airport or Bus station

You will pick up at the airport and you will drive you to your hotel.
Please note that in order to start your first day visit the same day you need to arrive early in the morning.
If you arrive after 9am or the night before you can also be pick up at the airport but you will start the first day visit on the following day.
After you leave your luggages at your hotel you will be pick up and you will travel 25 minutes until you reach the area of Sencca (tica tica).
There the instructor will give you the safety equipment and a briefing of approximately 10 minutes before proceeding with a training of the ATV quad bikes.
Once you are ready to drive safety your quad bike you will begin the adventure.
You will drive for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and you will visit the ABOVE OF THE GODS which are hand-carved cyclopean. You will have time to take pictures but you will also have time to enjoy the Andean mountain landscape.
You will end the tour returning to the Sencca area where you will take your minibus that will take you back to Cusco.
On this second day benefit from early morning pick-up at your accommodation in Cusco at around 03:30, and then journey by minibus to the train station at Ollantaytambo to take an amazing 2-hour train ride towards Machu Picchu. Pass through extraordinary landscapes.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, a guide will be waiting for you at the train station to escort you to the ruins of Machu Picchu by bus. Travel for about 25 minutes through the breathtaking scenery, and upon arrival at the site of the “Lost City of the Incas,” enter the historic citadel and take a 2 hour guided tour. Then, enjoy some free time to explore the outer areas on your own. Enjoy one of the many hikes, such as the trail to the Inka Bridge or the Sun Gate.
Return by bus to Aguas Calientes and enjoy some free time to explore the town on your own. Relax in the hot springs or at one of the many restaurants or cafés. Then, board the train in the late afternoon for the return journey to Cusco.
On this third day, explore the colorful landscape of Rainbow Mountain on a guided hiking trip from Cusco, and discover glacier-capped peaks, wildlife, and views across the Cordillera Vilcanota mountain range.
Be picked up at your accommodation in Cusco around 4:30-5-00 AM. Travel about 1 hour 45 minutes to the Cusipata community and stop for breakfast.
Start the trek and over two hours enjoy amazing landscapes with alpaca and llama herds, the Ausangate Mountain, many red mountains, and traditional local houses. The rainbow mountains are one of the spectacular places of the Vilcanota mountain range. The natural coloration is due to the presence of sedimentary stones in erosion. The impressive thing is how the stones have been formed to form a set of seven colors.
Reach the rainbow mountains at 5,020 meters (16,466 foot) and have time to explore the area and take photos. Spend between 30 minutes and 1 hour there, depending on your trekking speed and the weather conditions.
The return hike takes two hours. At the Quesiuno community you will take a transportation to the Hanchipacha community, where you will have lunch. Then be driven to Cusco and dropped off at Regocijos Square, which is two blocks from the Main Square.
On this last day, you will pick up from your hotel or accommodation and you will driven to the Airport or Bus station to continue your trip thought the rest of Peru.
On this day there is no activity scheduled other than the transfer to the airport or bus station. If you prefer you can be driven to the airport or bus station at the end of day 3 instead of day 4. However it is highly recommended to stay in Cusco to rest after the hike of the Rainbow Mountain.
