Inca Rail is the second of the two operators licensed to run trains to Machu Picchu, alongside PeruRail. Peruways books the whole Inca Rail timetable, from the budget Voyager class up to the First Class with its observation car and open-air balcony at the back of the train.

Most Inca Rail services leave from Ollantaytambo station, 72 km north-west of Cusco. The 90-minute run down the Urubamba Valley to Aguas Calientes passes the Pumatallis gorge and the Km 82 Inca Trail trailhead; from the right-hand window going down, you catch glimpses of Veronica (5,893 m).

First Class fares include a private transfer to the station, a three-course menu, lounge access, priority boarding and a guided tour of the citadel at the end. 360° has the panoramic ceiling windows and sits in the middle of the Inca Rail range on price.
