Entry tickets to Machu Picchu are time-slotted and limited: around 4,500 per day, split across six circuits since the 2024 reform. Peruways checks availability for the circuit, date and hour you want and holds the slot.

The site has three main ticket types — Llaqta (the main citadel), Machu Picchu Montaña (the taller summit hike) and Huayna Picchu (the iconic steep peak). Each has its own daily cap, and Huayna Picchu sells out two to three months ahead in dry season.

Peruways’ team keeps notes on what each circuit covers so you don’t buy the wrong one. Circuit 1 includes the classic postcard viewpoint; Circuit 2 goes deepest through the urban core; Circuit 3 is the shorter lower route.

If you want sunrise, aim for the first entry (06:00). If you want fewer crowds, book the last entry (14:00) and stay inside until the 17:30 closure.

Reserve your citadel ticket with Peruways as soon as your dates are firm.
