The train to Machu Picchu is as much part of the trip as the ruins themselves. The run through the Sacred Valley combines the comfort you want with the views you came for — and Peruways handles both ends of the booking.
Trains leave from Cusco’s Poroy station (seasonal) and from Ollantaytambo. The route follows the Urubamba river into the cloud forest, past terraced hillsides and the Veronica massif on the north side of the valley. Big windows mean nobody has a bad seat.
Three service levels: the budget PeruRail Expedition and Inca Rail Voyager, the mid-range Vistadome and 360° with panoramic glass ceilings, and the top-end Belmond Hiram Bingham for a full Pullman experience. All include onboard service — snacks, drinks, usually a small cultural element.
Booking through Peruways keeps the admin short. One search, side-by-side train comparison, confirmation, and if you want to extend the trip we can add the Consettur shuttle and the Machu Picchu entry ticket to the same booking.
Plan the trip at Peruways. Pick your train, confirm your seat, and let the Sacred Valley do its thing on the way to the citadel.
