On the second after a night in the village of Aguas Calientes you will visit the citadel of Machu Picchu early in the morning where you will be able to have a guide visit before visit the site on your own. After the visit you will go back to Aguas Calientes to take a train and shuttle back to Cusco.

Day 1: Cusco - Pisac Ruins - Pisac Market - Ollantaytambo
Day 1: Cusco - Pisac Ruins - Pisac Market - Ollantaytambo

You will be picked at your hotel within Central Cusco between 7:30am and 7:45am with a minibus to go towards the Sacred Valley. The first stop will be in the cozy town of Pisac. There will visit the Pisac Ruins which was an important Inca place. You will also be able to visit the colorful Pisac Market where you will be able to discover products made by the locals.

Before continue your tour to Ollantaytambo you will stop in Urubamba to take a lunch.

In Ollantaytambo you will visit with your guide the Ollantaytambo ruins which was an important place within the Sacred valley linked to Machu Picchu.

After you completed your visit in Ollantaytambo, your guide will drop you off at the Ollantaytambo train station. From there you will take your train to Aguas Calientes on your own.

In Aguas Calientes you will enjoy an afternoon/evening of leisure where you will be able to go to the optional hot springs (entrance can be paid on the spot) to relax.

Your hotel in Aguas Calientes is not include in this activity. However you can book a hotel which fit your needs in www.peruways.com/hotels at the most competitive cost.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Ollantaytambo - Cusco
Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Ollantaytambo - Cusco

On this second day you will wake up early in the morning to take a 30 minutes bus between Aguas Calientes and the Citadel.
You will meet your guide and group at the entrance door in order to start your 2 hours Machu Picchu guided visit.
With your guide who speaks English or Spanish you will be able to understand better the Inca's history. After you guided visit you will have free time to visit Machu Picchu on your own and take amazing pictures.
At the end of your visit you will take a bus back to Aguas Calientes from where you will take a train to Ollantaytambo.

In Ollantaytambo a member of staff will call your name at the train station exit door to lead you to your minibus which will drive your back to Cusco.

You will be dropped off in Central Cusco.

Important Information about the tour
Transportation:

This tour package includes a shared transportation by minubus between Cusco and Ollantaytambo as part of the Sacred Valley tour on day 1. The hotel pickup service is only provided from hotels/accommodation within central Cusco with easy access.

The tour package also include a shared shuttle service by minibus between Ollantaytambo to Cusco on day 2 which does not include a hotel drop-off. Passengers will be dropped-off in central Cusco in Plaza Regocijos or Plaza San Francisco.

Train Tickets:

This activity includes train tickets on Expeditions trains or Voyager Trains only. It does not includes tickets on highest train categories such as 360 or Vistadome.


Machu Picchu Ticket:

The ticket included in this package is a Machu Picchu ticket to visit the Citadel. This ticket does not include the hike to one of the mountains. Visitors, who want to hike one of the mountains, must add as extra this option during the booking process.
Please note that the access time to Machu Picchu will be the 6am slot unless there are no spaces available for that slot. If there are no spaces available for the 6am slot you will be booked for the next available slot (7am, 8am...). We highly recommend to book your tour enough in advance in order to secure the spaces.

Accommodation:

The hotel in Aguas Calientes is not included in this package. If visitors want to book a hotel, they can do it through www.peruways.com/hotels

Guide:

Please note that visitors will not be accompanied by a guide all the time within the 2 days.
The bilingual (English/Spanish) professional guide will accompanied visitors on day 1 during the visit to Pisac and Ollantaytambo. On day 2 the guide will accompanied visitors only 2 hours inside Machu Picchu.
The rest of the time visitors must ensure they follow the instructions provided by email or by the train or bus companies.

Entrance Tickets:

Only the Machu Picchu Ticket is included. The Tourist ticket which give access to the other ruins is not included. This tourist ticket only can be purchased on the spot.

When and where does the tour start?
The departure time on day 1 will be at around 7:45am. The pick up at your hotel at around 7:30-7:45am. You will receive a confirmation email to confirm the tour and times.
When and where does the tour end?
On Day 2 after the guided visit to Machu Picchu you will be stay in Machu Picchu on your own. You will need make be sure you go back to Aguas Calientes on time to take your train back to Ollantaytambo. Once in Ollantaytambo a member of the staff will be waiting for you at the train station exit door to drive you back to Cusco. You will be dropped off in Central Cusco in Plaza Regocijos or Plaza San Francisco.
When is recommended to arrive to Cusco?
It is recommended to arrive in Cusco at least 2 days before the tour in order to acclimatize and get used to the altitude. If you cannot arrive 2 days in advance it is strongly recommended to arrive the day before the tour because the tours start very early in the morning.
