Overview

Sleep under the stars as the Incas with two nights in a crystal igloo on the middle of the Andes on the way to Machu Picchu.

The Salkantay Trek is the perfect alternative to the Inca Trail for those who do not want to book their trek months in advance or for those visitors who were not able to get some spaces available for the Inca Trail due to the limited spaces available.

This Salkantay Trek Premium Igloo Accomodation is also an improved trek compare to the classic Inca Trail as you will be able to sleep two nights within an Igloo Accomodation,  one of the most impressive accommodations in the Sacred Valley.

On this 4 days 3 nights trek version you will stay the first in a Crystal Igloo, the second night in an amazing typical hut and last night in a hostel in Aguas Calientes (also know as Machu Picchu Village).

This trek is incredible as it takes place in the same area as the Inca Trail and immerses you within amazing landscapes in the Sacred Valley such as snow-capped mountains, lakes, cozy villages , tropical valleys, mountains and jungle.

This tour also exists in 5 days / 4 nights version . On a 5 days Salkantay Trek Premium Igloo Accomodation version you will stay 1 night in Lucmabamba on day 3 in order to sleep an extra night in a crystal igloo. Good alternative to Inka trek

We wanted to book the Inka trek but we did not know we needed to book it in advance. We booked instead this Salkantay trek as alternative and we loved it. Landscapes are beautiful, the trail is similar than the inca trek and the igloos are a nice way to sleep under the stars. We recommend this trek for couples like us.
