Overview

On this tour you will be picked up at your hotel within central Cusco early in the morning between 03:30am and 04:00am. You will be driven to Mollepata, a village in the Apurimac river valley. A breakfast will be provided there and then you will continue your trip to Soraypampa.

The trek will start from Soraypampa (3900 meters above the sea level) and it takes approximately 1 hours 30 minutes towards the Humantay Lake (4200 meters above the sea level).

In the Humantay lake area you will be able to enjoy the amazing landscapes, see Humantay Glacier and discover the pure turquoise water of the lake. If you want you will be able to rent a horse (optional) in your journey to the Lake.

During this tour you will have time to take beautiful pictures before going back to Mollepata to take your lunch.

You will be back to Cusco at around 6.00pm.

- Please note Humantay Lake is located 4000 meters above sea level. This trek is moderate but due to high altitude the feeling of difficulty can increase because breathing can be more difficult.
- The trek on this activity most of the time is uphill, steep and sometime a little slippery. We recommend to bring waterproof hiking shoes.
- Hotel pick ups must be only within Central Cusco. If hotels are outside of Central Cusco or with difficult access, you will have to go to the meeting point.
- Breakfast and lunch are standard/basic and offered as a courtesy. We recommend to bring extra snacks and water for this activity.

The tour start in the morning with a pick up at your hotel or meeting point at around 4:00am. The exact pick up time will be communicated in a confirmation email.

The tour finish the same day when you are back to Cusco. Visitors will not be dropped off at their hotel but all visitors will be dropped off in the same place in Central Cusco.
